| The
Hillsboro Shores Women’s Club is an informal group of married
and single women of all ages who reside in Hillsboro Shores.
Our mailing list of women consists of those who were
recommended by people who actively attend our meetings.
You are welcome to drop in to any of our meetings and
introduce yourself.
We are happy to have you recommend your Hillsboro Shores
neighbors who are not currently active in our club.
Please notify our club secretary if you would like
to add someone to our mailing list.
We meet in each other’s
homes once a month and also hold occasional holiday parties
with singing, dancing, and games, at local homes, clubs, and
restaurants. Usually
our holiday parties are dress-up occasions where the men are
invited. Our
club serves the purpose of providing an organization for meeting
people in our neighborhood. We get together for entertainment and sharing of information
and ideas relating to topics of interest to women.
At our holiday parties the men also enjoy meeting other
men in the neighborhood, and lasting friendships are formed.
Some of our topics of interest discussed and demonstrated
at our meetings have included: floral arranging, skin care,
tips on dressing for your own lifestyle, proper nutrition,
proper social etiquette, how to set a dining room place setting,
and antique collecting and displays.
If you would like to offer your home for one of our
meetings and/or have a topic that you would like to present,
please get in contact with one of the club officers.
Usually the person hosting the party also provides
the food for the meeting.
Club membership dues are $12 pre year and are
used to send you invitations to monthly events and for invitations
sent out for the recruitment of new members.
